Anxiety, Depression, and PTSD Counseling in Texas

Worry, low mood, or the effects of trauma can make it harder to feel settled and like yourself. Counseling offers a place to slow things down and understand what you are carrying.

Explore how counseling can help

Anxiety

When worry starts running your life

Sleep may become difficult. Your mind keeps returning to the same worries, doubts, and fears, even when part of you knows you need rest. You may second-guess yourself or find it hard to relax.

Depression

When things that mattered feel distant

Motivation can fade. Activities that once brought satisfaction may feel flat or difficult to reach. You might be going through the motions while wondering why life feels different.

Trauma & PTSD

When the past keeps intruding on the present

PTSD can involve unwanted memories or nightmares, avoiding reminders, feeling on guard, or changes in sleep, trust, and closeness. Experiences differ from one person to another.

As The Body Keeps the Score suggests, trauma can be stored in the body as well as remembered in the mind. In my work, we may use somatic therapy, polyvagal-informed exercises, and DBT skills—such as orienting to the present, grounding, and gentle breathing—to help you notice your body’s signals and build steadiness. We often begin there; as you feel more settled, we can explore the thoughts and meanings tied to what happened, at a pace that feels manageable.

A place to begin

Therapy can help you slow things down.

Together, we can look at patterns that keep distress active, make sense of what you have been through, and work toward steadiness, clarity, and more room to choose how you want to live.
